Here By Grace

  I got this 8 inch trophy from Say It With Letters to decorate.  At first I thought about making something for Father's Day, but then I thought about the little superstar that lives in my house and decided to make something to celebrate him! So, here's the trophy I made for my littlest superstar Michael! I used My Mind's Eye paper, tags, and labels.  The ticket stubs are by Jenni Bowlin and the felt stars are by Provo Craft.

In honor of my birthday coming up, I'm gonna give away one of these trophys! That's right, somebody's gonna get a gift from me for my birthday! Just leave a post here telling me about the best birthday gift you've ever received!  I'll draw a winner on my birthday, next Sunday the 13th!

Not too much going on today.  Just hanging around the house and chilling after shopping all day yesterday with my daughter Brittany.  Have you been shopping with a 19 year old young lady lately?  Take this bit of advice; If you're ever presented with the opportunity,  don't go! I think we went to about 4 different malls non-stop from about 10AM to about 7PM.  We were riding in her car, so I was at her mercy! Now I know what it feels like to be kidnapped! (LOL!) Finally, she agreed we'd go home. That's only because I threatened her and said I was about to go crazy on her in the mall in front of everyone there! She knows I can go there, so reluctantly she gave in. Well, today is another day and of course she's gone again. This time without her mother!(LOL!)  I love spending time with her because we have a ton of fun, but I'm just not the shoppaholic I used to be!

I made these 2 layouts today using the July kit Fruit Punch from Scrap-Tastic. I absolutely LOVE this kit cause it's filled with some scrappilicious Pink Paislee goodies!  I also used some stamps from Unity on the first layout. You definitely should check it out!

Well, Well, Well!

Well, it's been another good day!  I just wish we weren't having so much trouble with all of the flooding here along the Mississippi River.  I feel so bad for those people who've had their homes and crops destroyed.  It's a terrible, terrible thing.  Since I wanted to help out, and I'm not the sandbagging type, I did go here to donate to the Red Cross.

Well, I've been having a good time making cards lately! You know, sometimes I'm in the mood for cards, and then sometimes I'm in the mood for layouts.  I guess it depends on which way the wind is blowing! Here's a card I made using a sketch from the Got Sketch class. Of course the paper is Basic Grey's Archaic Collection.  Cute stuff I tell ya!

Well, for you all who voted for me in the Scrapbooks Etc. Summer Challenge, I want to thank you again because I WON!!!!  Yep! I won the first challenge, which means I've won a ton of scrap supplies, but most importantly I get to compete in the end of the summer challenge for the grand prize of $2500!! What A Great Day!

I hope everyone is well today, because I surely am!  It's not too hot here in St. Louis today.  I think the high is only gonna be 92, so that's cool with me. 

I certainly hope you'll be joining the shindig Unity Stamp Co.'s having over at SplitcoastStampers this evening cause it's gonna be a blast!  The party will be in Unity Stamp's forum from 8-10 CT, so be there or be square! (I know, I'm showing my age now!LOL!) 

Alrighty, remember those sneak peeks I showed you yesterday?  Well, here they are in all their glory!  With both cards I used a new release set.  On the first card I used the Floral Fantastical kit, and the second card I used the Delectable Delights kit.  Aren't they fun?

So you all know that June is the month for weddings, so I made a wedding favor! It's a Wedding CD Folder that has a CD in it of the bride and grooms favorite songs! Now, I want to share a 2-page layout I did as a part of the Got Sketch class.  Let me tell you that I haven't done a 2-pager in years, so this was quite a challenge for me! This is my little one looking all handsome and dapper! The journaling are the lyrics of the some Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top, and the paper is MME.

I Love Summer Vacation!

Can you tell I'm on summer vacation?  I think I've updated my blog more this week than I did the last 2 months!  I just love not going to work and playing in my scrap goodies all day! Boy, this is the life!(LOL!)  I wish I could do this all of the time, but since my family likes to eat, I think I better keep my day job!

Here's another layout I did for the Got Sketch class.  This class is just what I needed to help me get some mojo and ideas flowing again.  If you ask me, that's just what a great class is supposed to do! The next time they give a class, you need to get there and get inspired!

This layout is of course Michael playing in the park.  I used some Basic Grey paper, a Making Memories journaling page, and stamps from Unity Stamp Co. .

Well, I'm want to scrap some more, so I'm gonna go order some Chinese takeout!  Take Care and Be Blessed!

My Kindergarten Graduate!

A few weeks ago, my son Michael graduated from kindergarten! How cute is that! Let me tell you that he was the cutest little boy on the stage!  Now, I'm gonna do something that I rarely do; brag on my child!  As most of you know, Michael was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3, so it's been a pretty rocky road at times.  After his diagnosis, I immediately put him into speech and language classes (because that was his big deficiency) and into a great early childhood program so he could get as much help with socialization as he could get.  Well, let me tell you that 3 years later,my little one is now in a regular classroom, playing with all the kids, talking, reading and writing like a champion!  I'm just so proud of him and his accomplishments it makes me cry tears of joy when I think about how far he's come!  I used to pray for him to be able to talk...now I pray for him to be quiet!(LOL!) Anyway, he is my joy and a true blessing!

Every Day Counts Journal

This is my Every Day Counts Journal.  I made it because I'm desperately trying to follow a healthy diet and excercise plan, but I conveniently keep forgetting to write down what I eat and my daily exercise (which hasn't been much!)!
