Hip Hop!

Happy Hip Hop Thursday to you all! I've been busy doing nothing but enjoying the weather this week. It's been in the 40's and for here that's like a heat wave! Great weather always puts me in a wonderful mood and brings me a little peace and joy!

What else brings me joy? Well, it's what we call the simple things. Simple things like:

•  a child's belly laugh

• watching my children learning something new

•  a nice home-cooked  meal

• art and  music

• Buffalo wings with Blue Cheese Dressing! (Yum!)

• dancing

• white ankle socks

• Chick Flicks

• God's Grace

•  and when I see people  displaying kindness to others.

How About A Cyber-Crop?

Scrap-Tastic is having it's American Idol Kick-Off Cyber-Crop this weekend, so all the challenges and games have to do with American Idol or music, or being a superstar.

         

 My challenge involves making tags. The tag has to have at least 2 stars, 3 different colors, at least 1 button, and a saying such as "You Rock", "Superstar", "One In A Million", or something like that. 

Here are 3 tags I made using some of my favorite scraps along with the School Rock Star kit and the January kit of the month from Unity Stamp Co.  I cut my tags using my Cricut Celebrations Cartridge. It's not too late to get in on the challenges.  As long as you get them uploaded my Tuesday, you'll be fine!

Scrap Therapy

I'm just so happy to have a 3 day weekend to relax a bit!  I didn't tell anyone (I'm usually pretty hush-mouthed), but last week was a truly emotionally stressed time for me.  My dad has been sooooo sick.  We had to rush him to the emergency room last weekend. They kept him and did surgery on Wednesday! It was really scary. My mom is truly a strong woman, but she's not well either, so it really has taken it's toll on her.  So, I've been trying to keep an eye on them both as well as going to work and taking care of my Michael.  Anyway, all is good and he's now home.  Well, after this week. I was in need of a little scrappin' therapy! Here's what I did today:

There’s nothing quite like Hip Hop Thursday!
