You've Gotta Check This Out!!

To my excitement, I've been asked to be the guest designer for  a FABULOUS new kit club called Color Your Memories!  

Now, obviously I was honored to be asked to be a guest designer, but I was beyond thrilled when I actually saw the kits! I mean, it's really not much I can say about these kits because they certainly speak loudly for themselves!  I will say that I was totally amazed by the quantity of  product included in each kit! Wowieee! These kits are just jammed packed with goodies! I know I can make at least 8 full 12 x 12 layouts just using the contents of a kit! For me that's a huge plus! The other wonderful thing about these kits (and for me the best part) is how beautifully matched the products are!  I love how coordinated everything is!  Take my word for it, these kits are stunning and you won't be disappointed! And wait till you see the price!! Anyway, you've got to go snag you some of these kits ASAP! Run, don't walk 'cause I've got a feeling they're gonna be sold out soon!

Raise Your Hand...

If you're going to CHA, cause I want to make sure I see you there!! Yep! I get a chance to go this year and I can't wait! Sure I'm excited to see what fabulous new items will be making their debut, but more than that I'm super-excited to meet all of the talented and wonderful fellow online scrappers that I've become friends with since I began scrapping 4 years ago!  I truly enjoy meeting new people and learning new things, so this will be one great trip for me! So if you go and see me there( and I'm pretty easy to spot! LOL!), please say "hi!" cause I'd love to meet ya!

On a sad note, my scanner kicked the bucket the other day, so now I have to photograph everything that I want to post.  So, here are two more layouts I did for Moxxie using their T-Ball papers. Take Care and Be Blessed!!

Today I Had No Schedule!

Today I woke up on my own. I didnt have to get up to be anywhere or to take anyone anywhere or to get someone up and ready to be where they had to be!  Yes, today was a good day because I didn't have anything scheduled or planned to do and it was refreshing!  I LOVE these kind of days! I live for them!  Well, you know what I did, right? Yep! I scrapped some layouts!  Here are two layouts I did using some more of that fab paper from Moxxie.  This paper is from their Theme Park line which is really fun!

I would like to give an extra-special shout-out to the fabulous folks over at the CPS Blog!  I won an awesome Karen Foster Snap and Scrap Box from their card contest!  I'm so excited because I'm actually in the process of setting up my new scrap area in the basement, so it's the perfect prize! Hey, do you have a cool little scrap area you could show me?  If you post a link to a photo(s) of your scrap area, there could be a really, really cool RAK for ya!  I need some ideas on how to set up my area, so C'Mon!  Help a sistah' out and show me your scrappy spaces!

Here are a few DT assignments I did for Scrap-Tastic too! The first one features my cute little cousin Tatum.  The second one features my daughters and the card is just a friend card. I'm not too happy with the way I put the scallop on the bottom edge though.  It's totally off, but sometimes I am too!(LOL!) Becky's letting us DT Girlies put together kits to be sold on the site each month! This month Barb's kit is featured and it's

A Glorious Day!!

My plan yesterday was to spend all morning scrapping, but it was a plan that would never be. I ended up spending the entire day at the Zoo!   Now, both of my daughters work at the Zoo, so we go as often as I can get my son to go.  The best thing about it is we get to do everything free!  We eat, ride, go to every show, and even get some merchandise for free!  Anyway, the weather was just beautiful. Not 98 degrees like it's been all week! Well, I had to drop Brittany off at work, which is what we usually do. Normally we come back home because Michael doesn't always want to go in. Well, we had a ton of fun, because Michael(who's educationally autistic) got over a huge fear he's had.  He's always been afraid of huge crowds, rides, and amusement park type things.

But yesterday he was feeling exceptionally brave and wanted to see everything and ride everything twice!  We even rode the carousel 4 times!  I was absolutely ecstatic!!  So,  I didn't get any scrapping done, but I did get to experience  a wonderful milestone in my son's life! The only thing now is I think I'm gonna be spending a lot more of my time there!(LOL!) Like I always say, "God is Good!" Now, go give someone a great big hug and tell them that you love them! How Do You Handle Stress?

When life gets hectic, how do you react? I ask this because right now, my life has definitely gotten hectic! I thought I was handling things well, but after I got up this morning and looked in the mirror I realized that the stress I've been feeling over getting Brittany ready to go away to school is not exactly under control.  My left eye and the left side of my face are totally swollen!  Eeek!! Looks like I have pink eye and swollen glands! Now, this is a family thing because everytime my mom gets nervous about something, this happens to her. I also remember it happening to my grandmother! Thanks family!!(LOL!) Now this is the first time it's ever happened to me, but I still recognize the symptoms.  So, of course I have some business I need to take care of today, and I look like an alien! (LOL!)  Anyway, as my mom always says, "This too shall pass!" In the meantime I've done a few more layouts using Moxxie's waaaaay fabulous papers and embellishments! I'm going to get my day started now, so take care and Be Blessed!! 

I'm Doing Cards Today!

Happy Father's Day to all the fabulous fathers out there!  I had fun making the gift I gave to Gregory this year.  I took some great photos of the kids and framed them.  Since he loves photos and he loves the kids (LOL!) I figured this was the perfect gift for him! Sure enough, he loves it! I'm not gonna post it because he once complained that he didn't think the world should see every gift and card that I give him. So in his honor, I won't post photo of his gift, but I will post the card I made for my daddy!(LOL!)  I made this card using a card sketch of Valerie Salmon's! You know I love her talented self and everything she touches! The paper used here is from Cosmo Cricket's Halfway Cafe line.  The next card and invitation were made using papers from Moxxie's Red, White, and Blue line.  Well, that's all for today! I'm Loving Summer Vacation!!

See, this is why I love summer vacation.  I can make 2-3 posts a week because I'm getting my scrap on daily!  I'm just having such a fabulous time! In a perfect world, I would be wealthy, a stay at home mom and a scrapper all day long!(LOL!) Hey, I'm not complaining cause I actually love my job and darn happy to have it!  I guess I just like a vacation every now and then.

  Anyway, nothing much going on today except me getting some scrapping done.  I finished these 2 for CreativeXpress. The first one which features my little one is called, My Train Man.   This is where we had to include a bluejean pocket on any type of project.  I wasn't nearly as creative as the other incredible DTers at CX, but it'll have to do.  The second one, Beautiful, which features both of my daughters, is an assignment where we had to use brads and a Coluzzle template. I used the Nested Flower Petal Template. I just love using Coluzzle. Have you ever tried any of the templates? I use the circles, hearts, and stars templates all of the time.  If you haven't, you should. I must have really been feeling K & Co. this month because I used their products on both of these layouts. The color is a bit off in the Beautiful layout, but it's really pretty in real life with the glitter on the flowers. Well, that's all for today! Take Care of yourselves and Be Blessed!!

Happy Monday Folks!

Happy Monday to you! Well, here I am in my second week of summer vacation and things are very cool.  I'm being lazy, sleeping in, and getting a little scrappy!  I'm actually in the process of moving all of my scrap stuff in the basement and actually making it my very own scrappy space! I was gonna use Brittany's room, but I realized that I have waaaaaay too much stuff to fit in there efficiently, so in the basement I go.  I'm in need of a great table to scrap on.  It needs to be very sturdy and able to take a lot! (LOL!) I've seen a few, but if you have any recommendations please point me that way!

I've been working on a few things for Moxxie.  I really love their products, so if you get a chance you definitely should grab up some of their fabulous products.  Here are 2 Fourth of July Layouts I did using their new Red, White, and Blue Collection.  One layout features my son and the other features one of my best friends nephew. ***And did you hear?  Keisha Campbell is now a Garden Girl at 2 Peas!!!! WhooooooooHooooooooooooo!!  I'm soooo excited for her! I must say that I'm surprised it took them this long to get her cause as far as I'm concerned she's one of the best scrappers out there! I'm so happy for her!  What a great team they have now!!  I'm sure I'll be spending a little more time over there!

Have you ever noticed that when you're on vacation the time just flies?  This was my first week of summer vacation and I have no idea of where the time went! I mean, it's like a blur to me! I know I didn't really do anything because I'm broke (LOL!) so I know I couldn't have had too much fun! Well, I've been home with Michael this entire week and I've put it on my calendar to make sure I go to his school district's next board meeting. See, after spending an entire week at home with my own 5 year old son, I am convinced that his teachers from last year need their salaries doubled!!! Lord help me make it through the summer cause I've got a feeling that it's not gonna be easy! I just hope we both make it through!(LOL!) 

Anyway, I have been working on a lot of stuff, but I can't show you everything just yet.  Here are 2 pages I did just for the fun of it.  The first one features Michael and how he loves to ride his bike. Almost everything used on that layout is by Making Memories.

The second page features my oldest daughter Erica. I rarely scrap pages of her because she won't ever let me take any photos of her! So here she is looking cute along with some papers and stuff from Daisy D's.

      Oh, and I wanna shout out a big 'ol congratulations to my girl Wendy Bretz! She just became a new Garden Girl over at 2 Peas! Wow what a year she's had.  First she became a Hall of Famer, and now a Garden Girl! Rock on girlfriend!!

Got Sketch?

Today was the first Monday of my summer vacation and it was glorious! Eventhough I woke up at the exact same time as I usually do during the school year, it still was cool because I didn't have to get up to be anywhere!  When I finally got up, I had not one cup-but two cups of coffee, then I checked in on my favorite scrappy sites! While checking into my girl Valerie's site, I ran across one of her new sketches. Well, to say that Valerie can sketch would be an understatement. I would say that she is sketch-a-licious!!(LOL!)  Anyway,  I was immediately inspired to re-create it-Robyn style, thus my project for today; Hilarious! If you ever need some design inspiration, this truly is the site to visit!

So, Michael pulled names from his blue baseball cap tonight and the folks who will be getting a free subscription to Ready-Set-Create are: Jamie, Dawn, Michele, and Linda! Congratulations ladies! I'll be contacting you for more information! Thanks for posting!
