Happy Halloween!

Hey everyone! I'm sure a lot of you are getting your little ones ready to go out trick or treating tomorrow, so I just want to remind you to be safe and to have a great time! I don't think we'll be going out because Michael is not feeling the trick or treat thing. He wants candy alright, but the whole thing scares him.  This is one of those kinds of things you just have to take a step at a time with children with Autism.  He does want to go out though.  He said he wants to go to Outback Steakhouse for dinner!(LOL!)  He just cracks me up! And this kid can really eat, but he doesn't gain an ounce-just like Gregory! Don't you just wanna slap people like that? All I have to do is smell food and I gain 10 pounds!

Well, I am a bit disappointed because I had a contest and nobody entered!(sniff, sniff) Oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be.  Anyway, in honor of Halloween, here's a couple of cards I made a while back.  Take care, be safe, and Be Blessed!

It's Been Quiet This Week!

Not much going on here, and that's a good thing!  How about with you?  I stayed home from work twice this week because I had a fever. I really felt fine, just a bit tired, so I don't know what was going on with me.  My mom says it's because I'm getting old (LOL!) and that sometimes I just need to sit my behind down and be still!  She says I don't get enough rest and she's probably right! Anyway, this is also the 3rd anniversary of my brother's death, so I think that may have something to do with it.  Especially since I got sick this same week last year! Anyway, this is a card I made using the November kit at Scrap-Tastic!  There's still a few days left to win this free and fabulous kit, so send me a link to a layout that says what you're thankful for!

Alrighty! I've had a little time to relax and scrap this weekend which  was just wonderful after my last two hectic weeks!  The two layouts I've featured today were done for Scrap-Tastic using the amazing November kit! Wowiee! It's phenomenal and loaded with tons of goodies!! The first layout is of my oldest and youngest children who are 15 years apart! (LOL! I laugh to keep from crying!) And the second one is of Michael last year at Thanksgiving! Anyway, I'm gonna be giving this fabulous kit to somebody next week! Yep, you heard me!

So tomorrow starts my 3 days of parent/teacher conferences.  I really do like to talk with my student's parents, it's just all the preparation that's the killer! Oh, so much paperwork; i's to dot and t's to cross! Anyway, I was feeling a bit stressed after work today, so I came home and buried myself in my scraptabulous basement.  I had taken a photo of Michael last week with his 3 missing teeth that I wanted to scrap, so here it is! Isn't he just the cutest?!  I just love that face! Sure, I may be a bit biased, but I sure do like him!(LOL!) Anyway, I hope all is good for you and if it's not- just remember that trouble doesn't last forever and you will see the sunshine again! Hugs, take care and Be Blessed!

What A Long Week!

This has been the longest week for me! It seems like the time is going by so slowly, it's driving me crazy! I feel like I'm in that movie "Groundhogs Day!" Remember that?(LOL!) I guess it's because it's report card time at work and I've been drowning in paper work.  Anyway, I hope all is well with you and yours! My family is great! All things are good and I'm grateful for that. Well, here's a layout I did of Brittany using some of my favorite line, My Mind's Eye.  The butterflies are Close to My Heart stamps and the flourishes are from Autumn Leaves.  The cards are a DT assignment for CreativeXpress.  I was to make bright and festive birthday cards which is right up my alley! The paper is one of my favorites from Rob and Bob's Celebrations paper pack.  That's all for now! Take care and Be Blessed!!

Time for Recess!!

Boy do I love Basic Grey's Recess papers!! Wowiee!! They're just so fun! Well I got a chance to play a little bit with these papers last night and let me tell you that I'm in LOVE!!  These papers are just fabulous! Now, I'll be the first to tell you that when I first saw all of the Basic Grey new releases in real life at CHA, I said I didn't like 'em and I definitely wouldn't be using any of them! I guess I lied cause I can't get enough of 'em!! (LOL!) So, now I've tried the Mellow and Recess collections and love them both.  I just got some Periphery and it's up for use next! I've got to tell you that I've got a feeling that I'm gonna be giving it some lovin' too!(LOL!)
