Just a regular 'ol Monday here.  Nothing too exciting going on and nothing bad going on either.  It's just Monday and that's cool. 

   

I had a good time this weekend doing nothing but playing with some scrappy stuff.  First of all, all around fab chick Valerie Salmon asked me and a few other fabulous scrappy chicks to do a Valentine's Day card sketch for her blog Got Sketch!  Well, first of all-have you ever done a sketch by Valerie?  If not, you need to because this girl's sketches make you look like you've got a ton of talent!  The papers here are some beautiful new papers from Moxxie.  These papers are a must!! To check out the other cards, go here to see.  Now, this is just a warning, but be prepared to be amazed!

  The next project I worked on was to make a mini-album(Maya Road and Basic Grey Two Scoops paper) about some of the things that always make me happy.  Of course I made the book about my children! I do like them most of the time, that is until they start asking for money!  (LOL!)This was a dt assignment for Scrap-tastic using the Scoops of Love kit I put together!

TGIF!!

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!!  I just want to shout it from the rooftops cause that's just how grateful I am for this day! I just find it so hard to get up out of my warm, cozy bed to head out into 3 degree weather for a day of boring meetings! This is exactly how my day was because the kids in our school district didn't have classes today.  Instead, we had to have what they call Professional Development Day-which by the way is a big snooze! I'd much rather be teaching in my classroom than be sitting all day long listening to people talk.  The only time I enjoy sitting all day is if I'm at a crop!(LOL) And in that case, sitting is pure bliss!

Today I want to share two layouts  and a card I did for Scrap-Tastic using the beautiful upcoming February kit that I had the pleasure of putting together! The kit's called Scoops of Love  because I chose my favorite new papers-Two Scoops from Basic Grey to base the kit on. 

I'll leave you with this thought, please find it in you heart to be kind to others. Be kind to people in your family, friends, neighbors, strangers, and people you may encounter on message boards because you don't know what kinds of hardship or sorrow they're dealing with in their lives.  Sometimes one kind word is all it takes to change someone's outlook on life.  Take care and Be Blessed!

Scrappy Goals

Do you have any scrappy goals for this new year?  I usually try to have some.   For example my last years' goal for scrapping was to become a more well-rounded scrapper.  All I really did was layouts and cards, but I had rarely ventured into the world of altering, so I set my goals on that.  I think I did pretty good with that goal!  Now I need a new one for this year.  I think I'm gonna go back to one I made a few years ago that I've since abandoned.  That is to get pubbed more.  Honestly, I don't think I submitted any more than 4 times last year!  I really don't know why, except I just didn't feel like it, so this year I'm gonna make it a point to submit more!  How about you?  Do you have any scrappy goals you've made for yourself?  If so, share them with me and I'll give away one of these fabulous mini-books a week from today! 

The cards I'm sharing today I made using stamps from the Unity Stamp Company! The first one card I cut using my Cricut machine.  I also used papers from Basic Grey, and the cute little heart is by Provo Craft.  The second card I made using a the June kit from Self-Addressed. I just love these card kits! You get so much for your money!

Yes, I've been a busy little scrapper bee getting things done for CHA.   you going? It's in Anaheim, California in February and lucky me gets a chance to go with Paper House!  Whoooohoooooo for Paper House! (I'll post some things I did for them soon!) This last week I've been still working on some stamping projects for The Unity Stamp Company.  I just enjoy the whole process of stamping so much! You can make your own patterned paper and everything! And altered projects are easy to do with stamps too!  Here are some things I've done with a few of these fabulous rubber stamps! Busy, Busy!

I hope everyone's had a wonderful week! My week's been good, but soooooo loooooong!  I know the first week back to work after a long vacation is always hard, but this one's been super-hard!  The only thing that's got me through is thinking about my evenings. I've been having a ton of fun after work playing with some fabulous new stamps from The Unity Stamp Company!! Man, oh man do I love these stamps!! Here's a card and a layout I made using their Bluebells In Love set and all I can say is, you've gotta get you some!!!

On the card I used Bazzill cardstock, patterned paper from Basic Grey's Lilykate line, the Bluebell's In Love "love" stamp from Unity Stamps,  ribbon from JoAnn Fabric and Crafts, and embellishments from Making Memories.   

I also made this layout using the Bluebell's In Love stamp set.  This layout features one of my favorite photos of both my daughters along with Bazzill cardstock, patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, ribbon from JoAnn Fabric and Crafts, chipboard letters from K & Company, tiny alphas from Provo Craft, and buttons and flowers from Making Memories.  I really had fun making this because I really love these stamps.  The background paper I made by simply stamping on the entire page.  Stamping is just so much fun!!

The Unity Stamp Company will make it's debut at Winter CHA in February, so all of their stamps will be available to purchase right after that!

I'm Stamping!!!

So today was my first day back to school after the Winter Break and I must say that it wasn't bad at all! Now, that's probably because the kids were so tired that they didn't have enough energy to get onto any mischief, but tomorrow will be a different day, so I'm gonna get to bed early tonight!(LOL!)

Because I had so much energy left when I got home from work today, I decided I would do something I hadn't done in a while.  I got out my ink pads and some stamps and actually stamped a project! Yep! I thought I better brush up on my skills a little bit cause I've just become a member of The Unity Stamp Company! Isn't that cool?  As many of you know, I did start this hobby primarily as a stamper, so I do know my way around a stamp. It's just that I rarely have the time to work with just stamps, which is something I truly enjoy.  Working with this company is gonna be awesome! Have you seen their stamps?  If not, get ready to have your socks blown right off your feet because these stamps are simply fabulous!!  So many wonderful themes and beautiful designs! I guarentee you'll own a couple of these sets before the end of the year!There are a few sets posted on the blog, but just wait...they're making their debut at CHA in February, so it won't be long before you can have some of these little beauties in your hands!

It's 2008!

It's 2008 and boy am I ready to move forward! I always feel so rejuvenated and hopeful at the start of each new year! How about you?  Well, I must admit that 2007 wasn't that bad and I had some really great experiences thoughout the year. To help me remember them, I made a mini-album to highlight some of those fun times.  Now, I didn't want to make something that was gonna take hours to make and use a ton of embellishments on it.  I really just wanted to focus on my feelings and do something I never do when scrapping...journal in my own handwriting.
