Playing Catch-Up!

Hey Everyone! It seems like it's been forever since my last blog, but let me tell you that I've been living life in the fast lane!  Yep! Ever since CHA, I've been playing catch-up, and had a million things to do EVERYDAY!  Now it looks like I can get back to the crazy, chaotic life that I know and love!  I really wasn't in a scrapping mood either, so I did everything except scrap! I've even been learning to crochet!  How fun is that?  We'll see how that goes and I'll keep you updated!(LOL!)

Well, the 2 layouts I'm sharing today were done for Scrap-Tastic using the incredibly fun March kit! You need to get it because it is packed with all sorts of fun, scrappilicious goodies!

Scraplift Time!

I haven't scraplifted anyone in a long, long time,but I had to do one for an assignment for CreativeXpress. I really wasn't too excited at first to lift someone because some people really get bent out of shape about it.  Of course I got permission from the artist to lift them, so I was more comfortable with it. Let me just tell you how much fun this was! I didn't have to put too much time into creating the design because it had already been done! Oh, I lifted my girl Ronda Simpson who happens to be an incredible scrapper and one of my Scrap-Tastic sisters!  I chose to lift her layout she did about her son called "This Boy". You can see the simularity in the two layouts, but I did add my own touches to it. I really loved doing this and I think I may do it more in the future! How about you?  When's the last time you scraplifted someone?

Up At 3:00 AM!

So it's 3:00AM and I'm up. Not cause I want to be, but because my little one's extreme coughing woke me up.  I went into his room to check on him only to find him burning up with a fever! Of course he didn't want me to take his temperature, but I'm glad I did cause it was 102!  Well, I got out the children's Motrin and a popcycle and went to work!  He said he wanted his daddy, so we called Gregory (he works the midnight shift), so that Michael could tell him how he was sick, but he didn't need a shot!(LOL!)  His temperature's now down to about 99, and he's dosing off to sleep.  Hopefully he's just got a bug and will get over it quickly. 

Here's a layout I did for CreativeXpress that took me 2 whole days to do! Can you believe that? I don't know what the problem was, but I just couldn't get it together.  The project was to use 3 specific products, but I had a mental block that I couldn't break through! Anyway, after all of  work I did on it I like it now.  Pretty simple for 2 days worth of work, huh? 

Well, I think Michael's asleep now, so I'm gonna try to get myself some more sleep. Take care and Be Blessed!

I'm Home!

Well, I made it back from CHA and boy am I tired!  It was held in beautiful Anaheim, California. First of all, I had a wonderful time working for Paper House Productions along side of the fabulous Wendy Malichio!  It really was a blast!  I got to see so many of my scrappy friends and I got to meet a ton of  wonderful scrappers too.  I came home feeling all inspired and scrappy!

All of the amazing new scrappy items coming out are just beautiful and so fun!  Believe me, you're gonna love EVERYYHING!!(LOL!)

Here I am with Angela, the owner of Unity Stamp Co., and the fabulous AJ, who is one of my Unity design team sisters. I so enjoyed meeting these super-nice, and talented ladies! And you've gotta check out this stamp line. An absolutely fantastic stamp system!

These next photos are of me and a few of my Outta This Funk sisters, Kristy Lee, Teri Anderson, and Wendy Malichio. I can't even begin to tell you how much insane fun we had! I truly love these talented chicks! I also got to spend some airport time with a local fabulous chick Tammy Tutterow! We flew out to CHA and back on the same flights! Now how cool is that?

You know it's always so nice and exciting to go away, but it's even better to come back home...even if it's 12 degrees outside, and your house is a mess when you get there!(LOL!) Take care and Be Blessed!!

This week has been incredibly busy for me! There's just been so many things to do at work and home it's got me all crazy! Hey, I was so tired last night that I fell asleep at the computer! I don't know about you but, that's a first for me! I woke up and had no idea where I was. I know it's kinda sad.  I think I need a vacation.  Whatta you think?  I think that because I'm leaving for CHA on Saturday, I've really had a ton to do at home in order to get ready to go! I know I'm gonna have a wonderful time, cause I'll be working in the Paper House Productions booth with my sister-friend Wendy Malichio!  Hey, If you're gonna be there, please stop by the booth and give me a holla! I'd love to meet you in person!

Since it snowed over 8 inches here in St. Louis, I got to have a snow day on Friday! Snow days are so fun! It almost feels like you're doing something naughty, you know?  I like that feeling too!(LOL!) Anyway, I actually spent a good amount of my day organizing and cleaning my scrap area.  It looked so good that I couldn't resist messing it up again!  If you're in a scrapping slump, you can do one of two things to get you back in that scrapping mood again. You can either clean your scrap area or visit Outta This Funk!(I couldn't resist!LOL!) Both of these will have you back on your scrappy path in no time!

The two things I'm showing you today is a layout of my daughter Brittany using the Scoops of Love Kit from Scrap-Tastic, and some altered letters I made for my son's room using letters from Say It With Letters and some Making Memories papers.
