Cricut Anyone?

 

My good friend Shellie wanted to challenge us all by having a Cricut challenge over at Outta This Funk, so I decided to make a card using two of my favorite cartridges.  I've been wanting to make a wedding card using the wedding cake from the Paper Dolls cartridge since forever, so I finally did it! I cut the "love" from my other favorite cartridge, Opposites Attract. I know the colors are a little non-traditional, but I like them anyway! Tomorrow some lucky person's gonna win a Cricut Cartridge at Outta This Funk! Remember, we give great RAK's to our posters, so check in often!

Round 3!

So, I want to thank everyone who voted for me in the So You Think You Can Stamp Contest at Simple Scrapbooks because I made it to round 3! I'm soooo excited about it!  The challenge this week was to stamp on ribbon or fabric.  I stamped on ribbon in addition to my flower and some flourishes. And of course you know I used my Unity stamps! The paper is American Crafts.

Here's my layout featuring the cutest kids I know; my son Michael and my little cousin Tatum.

 

The voting for this round starts tomorrow at 12 noon and ends Thursday at noon.  If you get a moment, go on over and vote for me a couple hundred times (because you really can!), and maybe I'll make it to the final round!  As usual you know there's a RAK involved, so whoever votes and comes back to tell me about it will be entered into a drawing to win something goooooood!  Okay, go HERE to vote.

I wanted to share a simple little card I made for a friend of mine and his wife on the arrival of their first baby. Now, I am more proud of this card than any other I've made in a long time, because I finally did a baby card that I like! I don't know what the problem has been, but when it came to making baby cards I had a serious mental block! There really is a trick to it.  And no, I haven't figured it out yet, because I just lucked up on this one! (LOL!)

My project today is a fun one. My friends always enjoy the card sets I make for them, so here's one I made using the September Kit of the Month and some paper from Fancy Pants!  I really love this kit of the month largely in part of that scalloped stamp.  How adorable is that? The way I love scallops this little stamp is gonna get a lot of use!

Alright, so you know I'm in the So You Think You Can Stamp competition over at Simple Scrapbooks, right?  Well, I made it through round 1 and starting tomorrow at 12 noon, round 2 entries will be up! The challenge was stamping on a transparency and believe me, it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be!

Today I've made a card that I just love. I made it using a stamp kit that has just been released today called Something Within! It's just the most perfect stamp kit ever! These stamps are just so beautiful and versatile that you must add them to your stamp collection!

The paper I used here is from  the Making Memories Noteworthy Collection and I just love it! To see the unbelievable specials Unity has for today go HERE!

Another Contest?

Yep! Another contest! You know I'm a sucker for a contest and I'd enter every one of them if I could! I have yet to be the final winner of any contest, but I just know it's coming!  I think contest really have helped me grow as an artist, so that's why I always jump in them!    

I'm truly excited about this one too! This contest is the Simple Scrapbooks So You Think You Can Stamp Contest! I made the first cut, and this week is round 1 where we had to do 2-step stamping.  I didn't have any new stamps I wanted to use for this round, so I pulled out my old CTMH favorite stamp set of all time; the Whoops A Daisy set.  Remember that set that everyone had to have?  Well, I still love it, so that's what I used on this layout of my daughter and her little cousin.  This contest is soooooo easy to vote in.  You don't have to register and you can vote for a certain someone 100 times in one day if you like! Have you had a chance to check out Webster's Pages? If not, let me tell you that you are missing out on some of the most beautiful papers I've ever touched! I am soooooo in love with this product it's crazy!  And better yet, I was asked to be their  guest designer for September!  You talkin' about me being excited? Man, you can't imagine! Anyway, I'm gonnna be playing all month long with these incredible papers and today I'm gonna show you some of my projects.  Basically, all I used to create these layouts are Webster's Pages paper and journaling cards, Melissa Frances and Making Memories flowers, some Unity Stamps here and there, and some ribbon!
