My Christmas Gift

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Now, it's time to gear up and get ready for Christmas.  I don't know about you, but around here we're gonna have a very modest Christmas.  I'm not spending much money at all. The only one who will benefit from store bought gifts around here will be my seven year old son Michael. I'll be making the rest of my gifts and giving lots of love! 

 

So, I know many of you know that my son has Autism and that one of the huge challenges he's always faced has been handling crowds and strangers. Well, I'm happy to report that it looks like he's getting over most of those fears and handling them like the champion he is! This is actually the first year he's asked to go see Santa and actually gone through with it! He not only sat on his lap, but he also told him about the thousands of toys he wants!  I'm just so proud of him! I wish I had that much courage! I'm telling you that this is my Christmas gift and I don't need anything else to make my heart as full as it is right now! God is so, so good!

Everything shown here today was made with the December kit Peppermint Swirl from Scrap-Tastic!  I used Unity Stamps on the layout.  On the cards, I used digital stamps from The Cutting Cafe.

Hip Hop!

Happy Hip Hop Wednesday and Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Today we have a very special Hip Hop for you.  We’re all celebrating by sharing gifts we’ve specially prepared for the one’s we’re most thankful for!  I’ve made this pillow box which holds two of these huge oatmeal raisin cookies as my gift.   Since we’re all on diets, I thought two cookies would be just the right amount without messing anybody’s eating plan up!

Happy Little Stamps

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend while staying warm! Well, I just wanted to show you some adorable little stamps I just got! These stamps are  from Happy Little Stamps and I just love 'em!  I found them on etsy and you just have to get yourself some to play with! So far they have 3 cutalicious stamp sets all with incredible prices. Here are 2 cards I made in minutes usin the So Sweet set.

I Can't Believe It!

I can't believe that my baby Michael will be 7 tomorrow! It seems like it was just yesterday when I found out that I was pregnant with him, and now he's gonna be 7!

I also can't believe that my oldest daughter, Erica(she's 22) is moving into her very own apartment December first! It's a bit scary for me, but I must admit  she's very responsible. I know she's gonna be fine, but no matter how old my kids get, they're still my babies. Please pray for her please!(LOL!)

 

Here's a project I did for Say It With Letters that was really fun to do! These are wooden Christmas ornaments I covered with Basic Grey's Wassail papers and Doodlebug Designs paper.  And of course I had to use my favorite new tool, my Martha Stewart punch too!

Hip Hop!

WhoooooHoooooo! You've made it to the end of today's incredibly inspiring Hip Hop journey! These ladies are pretty amazing, huh? Well, today I'm showing a calendar I've made for my family members. It's starting to be a tradition for me to give calendars to everyone at Christmas time because they love them! I just fill the pages with family photos I've taken throughout the year. One year I ran out of time and decided not to make them. Let me tell you that I almost got kicked out of the family, so now I plan accordingly!(LOL)

 

 Okay, I used one of the new releases from Unity, Neighborhood of Simplicity on the front cover. Isn't it adorable? The snowflake on this January page is from the September Kit of the Month, and thay lovely paper is from My Mind's Eye. The alpha stickers are Thickers from American Crafts.  Check out the November Kit of the Month:

It's Beginning To Feel A Lot Like Christmas!

Hey everyone! I sure am beginning to feel all Christmasy here lately! I would guess it's because of all of these fun projects I've done for Regina's Cutting Designs! You simply must check out her designs! Simply fabulous and super-easy to use! Believe me, if I can do it, everybody can!(LOL!) Okay, check out this set of Christmas cards I made using her shaped Christmas card cuts. I added some papers from Basic Grey's Wassail's Collection and some fabulous glitter paper from Doodlebug. The next photo is a gift box which also comes with the Christmas cards set. The stamp is a new release from Unity Stamp Co.
