How About A Challenge!

I don't know about you, but sometimes I just want a good challenge!  I love sketch challenges, but I really love color challenges because they make you use color combinations that you usually wouldn't put together. 

Today  Clear and Simple Stamps  is sponsoring the color challenge over at The Color Throwdown blog  and it's a good one!  The colors you are to use are Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, and Perfect Plum.  Here's what I created:

My Little Shoebox CHA Samples

I hope everyone's having a wonderful Friday! For some reason I woke up tired today.  I almost feel like it's time to go back to bed. That's weird because I'm usually one who doesn't take many naps, but as I get older I find myself needing to take them more often.  They say that you need to listen to your body in order to stay healthy, so I guess that means I'll be putting nap time in my schedule for today.

CHA is coming up and this is the first time in 3 years that I'm not going, but it's alright.  I'll be okay, but I do love going to see all of my scrapping buddies.  It's so much fun! And anyway, I think I had enough fun at the Winter CHA to last me a while.

My Little Shoebox has some totally cutalicious new lines out and I got to play with the new Sky's the Limit Collection.  Too cute, I tell ya! Here's the Collection:

I really love that card organizer. It really was easy to make with the template!  I used one of Lauren Meader's My Timeless Templates that I purchased at Papertrey Ink.

It's My Birthday!!

Hey everybody!  It's July 13th and that means it must be my birthday!! Yeaaaaaaaa!  I'm not a big birthday gift person, but those who know me know that it's the thought that means so much to me! This is why I was so excited to wake up to a ton of birthday wishes on Facebook! It really made me feel good! By the way, today I'm 45 years old!  I know that sounds old, but look good!  I don't look a day over 44 do I? (LOL!)

Lots of delicious things going on today! The first thing I want you to know is it's Take the Challenge Tuesday at Clear and Simple Stamps! The challenge for today is
called Sizzle and Pop! This challenge is to make something using bold fun colors like bright orange, yellow and red and to add something "pops" to your card, LO or project. 

Here's what I did:

PageMaps Birthday RAK!

I don't know if there's anyone who loves PageMaps as much as I do! Really, whenever I'm at a lose for a great design, this is one of the few places I go for inspiration.  I'm telling you it works every time! So, I was especially excited when the My Little Shoebox design team had a chance to be the guest contributors for July! Here's the sketch I was given:

Now, anyone who knows me knows that I always tend to create 1 photo layouts, so for me to be given this 2-page multi-photo layout was a challenge indeed!  I must say that I truly enjoyed the change!

Now, I'm issuing a challenge to you.  Go to the July PageMaps  and choose a sketch that inspires you to create a layout.  Complete your layout and post a link to it in this post and I'll enter you in a drawing to win my Scrapilicious Birthday RAK!  You have until Sunday to post your layout.
